Indian Cricket League August 20, 2007

Forgot to add my two bits about ICL- Indian Cricket League.

I’m glad it exists. It will shake the BCCI out of its stupour; the competition will force the corrupt and ennui-ridden BCCI to improve the miserable conditions that plague the domestic cricket league.

I am under no illusion about the ICL-I am aware that it is a money making venture, quite the Packer series etc etc, however, the point is, the monopoly of the BCCI needed to be broken.

Sigh. Once upon a time I used to love this game. It seems so long ago, now.

Don’t give up hope @Prax and @ sporadic. ICL has succeced in waking up BCCI and its cousins from across the border. That sure is a sign of interesting things to come.
