I’m an extremely enthusiastic and extremely incompetent cook. And an overly optimistic one, too. :p

In other matters, I am now a proud owner of the collected works of Ogden Nash 😀 Candy is Dandy.

I also posses Barry Trotter, the parody of Harry Potter. The first few pages are funny, but I have a feeling it will get annoying soon enough. Bought another Just William 😀

Cooking in this weather is indeed a very pleasant experience. Keep your enthusiasm and you will be a competent cook in no time. You can trust me for tips on vegetarian cooking.

@aunty- I shall definitely consult you 🙂 I was trying to make scones (all that Enid Blyton…hehe) and had plans of making potato soup. The scones…well, I modified the recipe hehe :p It wasn;t that bad, but they definitely weren’t scones! hehe. The soup ended up not happening, hee 😀

i must get me some more.

Hmmmm, which Barry Trotter? There’s a whole series of spoofs in that series, all of which are laugh worthy.

8. sporadicblogger - May 8, 2007

@ Nishnat-hehe, did the brother have to face consequences? 😛

I’m missing 2 william books 😦 Some complete @#@#@#@ etc has wacked them 😦

@Anonymouse-the first one. I havent picked it up since then. I felt the humour was wearing thin. I’ll give it another go, though…I’m a sucker for good spoofs 😀

Ah, you need to get ‘The McAtrix Derided’ then. Meet the No-one!

why waste your time on cooking when u can order in food

11. sporadicblogger - May 9, 2007

@pegasus- the ordering in happens too. But it can’t beat cooking! Its fun 😀

12. pegasus - May 9, 2007

u spend all day cooking, then you would decorate the food beautifully…
call all your friends over for a party…
and then have of the pleasure of watching them choking on your food.

man.. u r one saddist cook…. 😀

13. sporadicblogger - May 9, 2007

@pegasus- all day? Who said anything about all day 😉 The whim strikes and the baking(generally) happens, and all further plans of ‘cooking’ generally get junked after one effort 😉
And nobody chokes. Grr. Am not that bad 😛

The Bored of the Rings series are equally annoying. Though The Soddit and The Sellamillion were genius, titlewise.
