hey!
read your thread about egtting maiden to ukraine. I was wondering if i could ask of you a small favour. We Indians too are attempting to bring maiden to india. Unfortunately, none of us(the fans on the maiden boards) are promoters. We are in touch with interested parties.
I was wondering if I could ask a favour of you: could you tell us how you are going about getting maiden- who are you getting in touch with for the finances, for instance. you mentioned bank credit; how do you go about it.
Also any logistical details that might be demanded, and other suh organisational details.

Thanks for your help, and I hope youre successful!
Hello!
Sorry for long answering!

So.
Bank credit. You know, here in Ukraine really it is not a big problem, but…It would take A LOT OF DIFFICULT thing to do-many papers,business-plans etc.I don’t really know how it goes with credits in India-your rules, your laws for getting a credit,so I think it will be better for you to visit several banks and find out wgat you need to do to get a large sum of money.
Well, besides,I don’t think that a credit is really the best variant-I think, finding an investor is more possible, but the investor will put you to more responsibility than a bank.
ABout logistics…Yes,of course it is better to get Maiden to Ukraine when they are in near countries-Hungary,Poland,Romania…It would be not so expensive for transport expenses than if Maiden would come right from England.About India-look when they’re near to East-Japan,Korea,well-you’d see it better than me %))

Well, another thing-if you want to organize a concert in 2008,you should start working on it in jan-feb 2007,because Maiden-are monsters, and they plan their shows for years :)
And one thing more – if you want to knock-on to a SANCTUARY group – do NOT write them emails – these bastards =))) do not reply.Maybe, they think it is a spam?I don’t know..You’d better call there by phone.
Well-if you have any questions – write to my e-mail :man-of-war@i.ua -I’ll answer in a few HOURS because I check it 20 times in a day!
let’s think together and we’ll do this thing, man!!!

4. sporadicblogger - August 15, 2006

Thanks for getting back to me :)
Unfortunately, I have been in touch with a promotor who was himself interested in getting maiden here, but he’d worked out the costs, and it seems to be just too much. It would come to Rs.5000 per ticket for 30,000 people, which is unreal.
Cheers!

5. Man of War - August 30, 2006

Rs.5000
How many is it in US dollars?Or Euro?
Real, not TOO high price for Ukraine would be 25 up to 50$ per ticket.

6. sporadicblogger - August 31, 2006

Thats $107.5 (USD).
I still haven’t lost hope. I,personally, will b going to a UK gig next tour(this time the dates in London clash with my exams), however, I’ll keep trying for a SE Asia collab. Maybe, just maybe, if enough people come in from surrounding countries, maiden in india will be possible :)

7. Man of War - September 1, 2006

Yeah,107,5$ is TOO high,really…30-000 won’t be gathered for this price..:( But,actually, I would pay this for maiden here in Odessa,Ukraine;)

8. sporadicblogger - September 1, 2006

me too :snivel:

As you say, you’re a rare breed.

Loved reading them and the comments as well, especially between you and MAN OF WAR.My sides are simply aching with laughter……..

21. sporadicblogger - December 4, 2007

Maam! Are you laughing at my (desparate) attempts to get Maiden to India? This was actually a conversation that began on the maiden bulletin board, which he/she pasted here. :D They came, anyway, hehehe :D

22. sporadicblogger - December 4, 2007

Oh, and Man of War probably comes from Manowar, a band :D (in case the name set you laughing!)

23. Vipul Nanda - December 12, 2007

Hey, long time, no touch. :-) What’s up? How go things? Going to B’bay to see Maiden again?

Didn’t like their new album much.

24. sporadicblogger - December 12, 2007

Vipul-Halloa :) Yes, long time indeed :)
Am in the middle of exams now…and ofcourse I’m going!!:D I loved AMOLAD, but anyway, the setlist this time will be from the 80s :D

25. neurojava - April 23, 2008

hehe. I love the Maiden comments. Personally, grew out of it when you were all of 12:)

But here’s a guess – you are bong!

The Leo bit doesn’t surprise me!

Cheers,

-n-

26. sporadicblogger - April 23, 2008

neurojava- Hello! :) Yes, I am indeed Bong, how did you guess? :)

And why does the Leo bit not surprise you?

And do give Maiden another shot :D

27. neurojava - April 23, 2008

Begun Bhaja:)

Leo – combination of self effacing humor and intelligent observation.

Nice blog. Now I know what is meant when it is said that every generation is progressively smarter. Engaging writing. Keep it up.

And a prescient observation – Maiden will start fading away. In my case, it was more Led Zep. But there you go. Magic 30’s :)

28. sporadicblogger - April 24, 2008

neurojava- Oh yeah, I had forgotten the begun bhaja! :D

And thank you for your comments, made me feel very nice :) I’m so glad you find intelligent observation in here, because I keep doubting the content.
